Special Education Paraprofessional (1:1 Support)

About the role

The Constantine Public Schools district is seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to provide one‑to‑one support for students with special needs. This full‑time position works closely with teachers and staff to create a safe, supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other school activities.
• Transport students to and from various campus locations safely.
• Assist students throughout the day with academic and personal challenges.
• Support small‑group instruction across general education, special education, at‑risk, Title I, and other special populations.
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with district assessments.
• Communicate regularly with staff members, both in writing and orally.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills with staff, students, and the community.
• Problem‑solving ability in varied, non‑standardized situations.
• Understanding of district policies and Board of Education requirements.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
