Controls Technical Field Advisor – Field Services

About the role

The Controls Technical Field Advisor (TFA) joins GE Vernova’s Gas Power Field Services team to manage and execute on‑site activities at customer power generation facilities. The role involves installing, maintaining, and calibrating equipment while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and monitor site resources such as labor, tools and technical assistants.
• Perform on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration of control systems and equipment.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and provide technical assistance to customer representatives.
• Prepare and submit technical reports, job status updates, material orders, quotations, timesheets and expense sheets.
• Sign off on changes, conduct walk‑downs, and ensure all required parts are shipped to the site.
• Coach, mentor and train team members on field engineering practices.

Required profile

• Completed Level III competencies in field services.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work within GE safety standards.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot a wide range of equipment vintages.
• Excellent communication skills for technical instruction and customer interaction.
