Customs Clearance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Manager to lead all import and export customs activities for our operations in Algeria. The role ensures full compliance with national and international customs regulations, timely cargo release, and cost‑effective clearance while supporting our partners throughout the process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end customs clearance processes for imports and exports.
• Prepare and verify customs documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, HS codes and valuation.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, licensed brokers and internal teams.
• Monitor and optimise duties, taxes and clearance costs.
• Resolve customs issues, inspections, disputes and penalties.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure operational compliance.
• Build and maintain a national customs clearance platform to support daily operations and audit responses.
• Implement process improvements to reduce clearance time and operational risk.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in customs clearance.
• Strong knowledge of customs laws, tariff classification, valuation and Incoterms.
• Experience working with Algerian customs authorities and licensed brokers.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Arabic and French.

Required skills

• Proficiency with customs clearance systems, specifically SIGAD.
