HVAC Supervisor

About the role

The HVAC Supervisor will lead the installation, testing and commissioning of industrial HVAC systems for a power‑plant environment in Hassi R'Mel. The role requires strong technical oversight, safety enforcement and coordination with subcontractors and plant control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of industrial HVAC equipment, including air handling units, chillers, filtration systems and ductwork for plant structures and electrical buildings.
• Lead testing, balancing and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure correct air pressure, temperature and humidity, especially in control buildings and switchgear rooms.
• Oversee integration of HVAC controls with the plant’s Building Management System (BMS) and Distributed Control System (DCS).
• Enforce site safety standards, including work at heights, confined‑space entry and refrigerant handling in line with environmental regulations.
• Review mechanical drawings, maintain installation logs, inspection records and commissioning reports.
• Manage HVAC subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project milestones.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or degree in HVAC Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–10 years of experience in industrial or large‑scale commercial HVAC installation, preferably in a power plant or heavy‑industrial environment.
• EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification or equivalent trade licence.
• Experience with clean‑room or positive‑pressure environments and knowledge of fire and smoke damper testing.
