Junior Photographer & Photo Editor (Non-Key Expert)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Photographer / Photo Editor to join our pool of Non-Key Experts for a EU policy communication project covering North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf. The role involves providing high‑quality visual content to support outreach and storytelling across various communication channels.

Key responsibilities

• Capture high‑quality photographs during conferences, workshops, press events, official visits and other communication activities.
• Produce visual content for websites, social media platforms, publications and promotional materials.
• Edit, retouch and optimise photographs for both print and digital use.
• Manage image selection, cataloguing and archiving in line with project requirements.
• Ensure all visual outputs comply with EU branding, communication and copyright guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with communication teams to support storytelling and campaign objectives.
• Provide photographic coverage of high‑level institutional events and stakeholder engagement activities.

Required profile

• Professional training (or equivalent) in photography.
• Access to professional photography equipment.
• Working proficiency in English.
• At least 2 years of general photography experience.
• Minimum 1 year of specific experience in press, event or corporate photography.
