Payroll Officer – Payroll Management & Compliance

About the role

Baladna El Djazaier is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its fast‑growing agro‑industrial team in Algiers. You will ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance with Algerian labor law, and support the company’s ambitious agricultural and dairy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Verify onboarding and off‑boarding entries in the custom BALADNA payroll system.
• Check attendance records for headquarters and field sites.
• Manage variable payroll elements and calculate monthly payroll in line with local legislation and internal policies.
• Prepare post‑payroll analyses, management reports, and maintain the legal payroll register.
• Process and monitor CNAS, CNR, and tax contributions; complete DAC, DAS, 301bis, G50 declarations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Produce monthly payroll and headcount reports and assist with monthly and annual closing.
• Contribute to HR digitalisation projects (HRIS, SAP, SuccessFactors) and support expatriate salary transfers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Bac+4) or higher in Finance, HR Management, Statistics, Planning, or Law.
• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a large‑scale industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of Algerian labor law and social security regulations.
• Proven ability to handle complex payroll calculations and compliance reporting.
