Security Manager

About the role

The Security Manager will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive security programme for British American Tobacco Algeria. Reporting to the Algeria Leadership Team, the role ensures protection of personnel, assets, information and business continuity through a risk‑based approach.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the BAT Algeria security plan aligned with the MENA Security Strategy and Group requirements.
• Implement Security Risk Management processes, identifying, assessing, mitigating and escalating risks.
• Maintain effective physical security across offices, factories, warehouses, trade offices, fleet, field teams, events and business travel.
• Oversee access control, CCTV, intruder detection, fire detection interfaces, key and visitor management systems to ensure they remain functional and tested.
• Prepare and update security procedures, site security plans, emergency response and incident management processes.
• Provide security intelligence, threat assessments and travel security advice for Algeria and relevant regions.
• Support business continuity planning, testing and activation in line with Group BCP requirements.
• Coordinate security incidents and investigations with Legal, HR, Compliance and Operations, preserving evidence and meeting reporting obligations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (M2) or equivalent engineering qualification (Bac +5).
• 6 + years of experience in corporate security, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to lead security programmes and manage cross‑functional incident response.
• Strong analytical skills to produce timely security reporting and risk updates.
