Senior QA Engineer (Hybrid, Algeria)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to lead quality initiatives for a complex, multi‑channel platform. The role is hybrid, based in Algeria, and requires a proactive mindset that treats testing as an engineering discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Define test strategy and create comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, integration, and cross‑browser/device scenarios.
• Execute functional and non‑regression testing for new features and existing workflows with traceability to business requirements.
• Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent for UI, API, and contract‑level tests.
• Manage the defect lifecycle: detect, document, prioritize, and track issues to resolution with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments.
• Validate that delivered functionality aligns with business rules and acceptance criteria, not just technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders throughout UAT cycles.
• Continuously improve automation suite coverage, stability, and execution speed to keep pace with an evolving codebase.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in QA/software testing, preferably on complex, multi‑user, multi‑integration systems.
• Hands‑on expertise building and maintaining automated test suites with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Strong ability to design test plans and cases from business requirements, including edge‑case and negative scenarios.
• Experience testing REST APIs and validating data/business‑rule correctness.
• Rigorous defect‑documentation habits and familiarity with bug‑tracking and test‑management tools.
• Excellent communication skills to convey quality risks to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
