Tax Supervisor

About the role

The Tax Supervisor will support El Kendi by ensuring full compliance with Algerian tax laws while acting as a strategic business partner to improve tax efficiency and support commercial performance. The role contributes to continuous improvement of tax processes, aligns with corporate tax governance, and provides proactive advisory and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all Algerian tax regulations, including VAT, IBS, IRG, TAP, and G50 declarations.
• Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation and inter‑company agreements.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
• Support tax audits and liaise with tax authorities.
• Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to provide tax advice aligned with the company’s tax strategy.
• Maintain documentation for investment laws and AAPI/ANDI project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or equivalent.
• 4–7 years of experience in a Big‑4 firm, multinational FMCG, pharmaceutical or similar dynamic environment.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and Algerian business environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Knowledge of sales tax, labor laws, customs laws, income tax and investment regulations.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Algerian tax regulations and corporate tax governance.
• Experience with tax compliance processes (VAT, IBS, IRG, TAP, G50).
• Familiarity with transfer pricing documentation and inter‑company agreements.
• Ability to interpret legislative changes and apply them effectively.
• Understanding of corporate finance and tax planning principles.
