Tech Transfer Officer

About the role

The Tech Transfer Officer will lead the hand‑over of pharmaceutical products from research and development to commercial manufacturing sites. Working closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs and Supply Chain, the role ensures that transfers meet GMP standards, regulatory requirements and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute technology transfer activities from R&D to production facilities.
• Prepare, review and archive technical transfer documents such as protocols, reports, batch records and risk assessments.
• Maintain documentation compliance with GMP and internal quality standards.
• Facilitate communication among internal teams and external partners (CMOs/CDMOs).
• Monitor transfer schedules, follow up on action plans and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Support process validation tasks including PPQ, cleaning validation and equipment qualification.
• Participate in risk assessments, gap analyses, change control and CAPA activities related to transfers.
• Collect, analyse and report data during scale‑up and industrialisation phases.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or higher) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Industrial Pharmacy or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• High level of organization, attention to detail and resilience under pressure.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of cGMP regulations and pharmaceutical compliance.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes for solid, liquid and sterile forms.
• Documentation management and good documentation practices.
• Familiarity with quality systems, including deviations, CAPA and change control.
