Telecom Back Office Transmission Engineer

About the role

The Telecom Back Office Transmission Engineer provides technical support and oversight for transmission equipment used in data and voice communications. Working closely with operational and project teams, the engineer ensures the reliability and performance of the transmission infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and set up transmission equipment in collaboration with operational teams.
• Perform in‑depth diagnostics to identify root causes of failures and resolve incidents.
• Implement recommendations to optimize link quality and bandwidth.
• Prepare technical reports documenting interventions, incidents, and solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and project teams to deliver technical solutions.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in telecom transmission or network infrastructure.
• Strong customer‑oriented mindset and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or equivalents from Cisco, Huawei, Juniper are a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IP networks and communication protocols.
• Ability to diagnose complex transmission issues.
• Proficiency with network management and monitoring tools.
• Experience with incident management in large‑scale network environments.
• Familiarity with transmission equipment configuration and optimization.
