Treasury Officer

About the role

Baladna El Djazaier is seeking a Treasury Officer (Treasury Accountant) to manage cash flow, banking relationships and financial risk for its large‑scale agro‑industrial project in Algeria. The role ensures liquidity, processes payments and supports month‑end and year‑end closing within a dynamic, fast‑growing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash positions and maintain sufficient liquidity for operations.
• Record and reconcile treasury transactions in the ERP system.
• Prepare short‑term and long‑term cash‑flow forecasts.
• Manage bank accounts, including reconciliations, wire transfers, checks and electronic payments.
• Oversee petty‑cash funding and expense processing.
• Ensure compliance with internal treasury policies and external regulations.
• Prepare treasury reports for management covering cash position, forecasts and variances.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to treasury.
• Assist in implementing treasury system enhancements and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in treasury, accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of banking operations and cash‑management processes.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
