Maintenance Technical Evaluator – Metal Fabricator / Pipe Fitter

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technical Evaluator specialized in metal fabrication and pipe fitting for a leading oil & gas company operating in the Middle East. The role involves overseeing plant start‑up, shutdown and turnaround activities while ensuring high‑quality mechanical construction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical assessments of metal fabrication and piping systems.
• Support plant start‑up, commissioning, shutdown and turnaround operations.
• Inspect and evaluate mechanical construction work for compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
• Document findings and provide clear communication to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in refining, petrochemical, or oil & gas environments (20 years if no degree).
• Strong hands‑on expertise in metal fabrication and pipe fitting.
• Proven experience with plant start‑up, shutdown and turnaround procedures.
• Excellent technical assessment and communication skills.
