Risk and Control Specialist – Algeria Services

About the role

The Risk and Control Specialist for Algeria Services will support Citi’s Cross‑Disciplinary Controls function. You will help assess, design, and monitor controls across the business, ensuring compliance with the Enterprise Risk Management framework and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the effectiveness of existing controls, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
• Drive control enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
• Support the execution of the MCA (Management Control Assessment) program, including attestations, quality oversight, and reporting.
• Perform risk assessments in line with Citi policies, standards, and procedures.
• Manage issue resolution with key stakeholders and ensure compliance with Issue Management policies.
• Develop standardized risk and control reports for senior management, the Board, and regulators.
• Coordinate governance committee activities, including meeting logistics and action‑item follow‑up.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in operational risk, compliance, audit, or related control functions within the financial services industry.
• Strong ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls.
• Proven track record of implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Solid understanding of relevant compliance laws, regulations, and best practices.
