Senior Logistics Officer

About the role

Baladna El Djazaier is building a $3.5 billion agro‑industrial hub in Adrar, Algeria, with a herd of up to 270,000 dairy cows and integrated forage, crop, and milk‑powder production. The company seeks a Senior Logistics Officer to manage import and export logistics that are critical to the project’s success.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with Procurement and Finance to monitor purchase orders and letters of credit for import shipments.
• Verify, receive, and process all shipping and customs documentation.
• Liaise with customs authorities, brokers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth customs clearance.
• Track shipment progress, resolve delays, discrepancies, and compliance issues.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on customs activities, shipment status, and logistics performance.
• Maintain accurate records of all customs and logistics documentation.
• Facilitate communication between Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and Supplier teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable customs regulations.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost logistics efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in customs clearance, preferably on construction projects.
• Six to ten years of overall logistics experience.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures.
• Understanding of import and export regulations.
