About the role
The Consulat Général de France en Algérie is seeking a dedicated Visa Officer to join its Visa Service in Oran. Working under the authority of the Consular Post Chief, the Chancery Chief, and the Visa Service Head, you will play a key role in processing short‑stay visa applications, including professional, medical, and accreditation requests.
Key responsibilities
- Apply and monitor compliance with visa regulations.
- Verify, process, and make decisions on visa application dossiers.
- Handle specific short‑stay visas such as Pro, MOP, accreditation, and medical visas.
- Track accreditation processes and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate daily activities and, when applicable, oversee the performance of external service providers.
- Provide regular updates to the Visa Service Head.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving service quality.
Required profile
- At least a Baccalaureate diploma.
- Mandatory completion of the IFAAC visa training program.
- Knowledge of a local language is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the regional context is beneficial.
