Accountant – Finance Operations (North Africa)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to support financial operations across the North Africa region. The role will be involved in month‑end close, reconciliations and compliance while working closely with senior finance colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger entries.
• Process travel expenses and payments, including VAT returns.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage payment transactions and receivables.
• Communicate with state administration and support financial projects.
• Perform payroll accounting and related administrative tasks.
• Participate in the migration to a new ERP system and document input.

Required profile

• Work experience in finance and accounting.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems (preferred).
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong affinity for numbers and analytical ability.
• Independent, goal‑oriented working style.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
• Experience in accounting for hotels or restaurants is a plus.
• Partly qualified or fully qualified accountant.
• Fluent in English and the local language, both written and spoken.
