Area Sales Supervisor

About the role

BAT is looking for an Area Sales Supervisor in Algeria, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. The main mission is to develop and increase BAT Algeria's market share by managing the performance and energy of the team. The role suits people who enjoy challenges, working with numbers, negotiation, field activities and leading a team.

Key responsibilities

• Implement an Area Trade Marketing & Distribution plan aligned with regional objectives and the Trade Marketing & Distribution strategy.
• Ensure availability, visibility, volume, market share, quality (e.g. RQI) and customer pricing targets are met in the assigned area.
• Provide trade marketing competitor activity reports to keep management informed.
• Provide accurate day-to-day forecasts to supply local distributor warehouses and maximise product freshness at point of sale.
• Manage distributors to maximise volume, visibility and in-store presence within agreed budgets.
• Track and evaluate the performance of the Trade Marketing & Distribution team.
• Implement and evaluate agreed action plans and cycle plan objectives following distribution gap analysis.

Required profile

• 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, including team management.
• At least 2 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commercial Sciences or an equivalent field.
• Category B driving licence.
• Fluency in French and Arabic; intermediate English.
