About the role
The Business Operations Support role assists the Business Operations Manager in maintaining efficient administrative processes across the British Council’s operations in Algeria. This fixed‑term position (3 months) involves handling documentation, supporting internal enquiries, and preparing management information reports for multiple functions.
Key responsibilities
- Perform office administrative tasks such as clerical work, filing, scanning, archiving, and updating documents and databases.
- Maintain accurate records related to the work area and draft routine and non‑standard documentation.
- Assist the Business Operations team in delivering new initiatives, change programmes, and process improvements.
- Support management in the implementation of change and ensure compliance with corporate standards, risk, and business continuity requirements.
- Potentially supervise a small team, depending on the size of the country operation.

- Pro‑active and adaptable individual with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and support performance objectives.
- Durability to manage change and contribute to process redesign.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
