Business Unit Head – Oncology (North Africa)

About the role

The Business Unit Head for Oncology in North Africa will lead a passionate team and shape the commercial strategy for IPSEN’s oncology portfolio across the region. Reporting to regional leadership, the role is responsible for driving sales performance, market share growth, and successful product launches while ensuring operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the commercial strategy for oncology products in alignment with global and regional objectives.
• Own the P&L for the oncology business unit, managing budgets and ensuring profitability.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing team across sales, marketing, and operations.
• Collaborate with medical affairs, market access, regulatory, and supply‑chain functions to ensure cohesive execution.
• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and innovative commercial models, championing digital transformation and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and institutional stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in oncology or related therapeutic areas.
• Proven track record of managing teams, P&L responsibility, and driving business growth.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics, regulatory environment, and stakeholder engagement.
• Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA or equivalent, in addition to a scientific background (Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, etc.).
