Engagement Assistant (French/German Speaking, English)

About the role

KPMG is looking for an Engagement Assistant who speaks English fluently and is also fluent in French or German. The role covers the early stages of audit engagements: risk management evaluation, acceptance and continuance, engagement letters, procurement follow-up, billing support and documentation, while also supporting colleagues and coaching new team members.

Key responsibilities

• Risk management: launch and update Sentinel Approval Number requests, update the Sentinel tree, prepare draft Engagement Acceptance/Continuance in the Global CEAC dashboard, and prepare Engagement Letters and Multi-Firm Engagements for stakeholder review and client signatures.
• Procurement: request and follow up on purchase orders in the P2P tool for supplier bills, including foreign KPMG offices.
• Tools: handle requests and support colleagues in using in-house tools (Global CEAC, Sentinel, STAR, CRM); open, update and close jobs in STAR (PMS).
• Documentation: draft RM documents such as reliance letters and NDAs, and format and finalize deliverables like reports and PowerPoint presentations.
• Meetings and billing: organize internal and external meetings, prepare cost updates, and draft and finalize invoices, close-outs and zero bills; run STAR reports such as the WIP report.
• Support and coaching: support internal teams, guide and coach new team members, and act as Performance Manager when relevant.

Required profile

• Fluent English, and fluent French or German; other languages are an asset.
• Minimum education: Baccalaureate or A-Levels; a bachelor's degree is an asset.
• First work experience in a fast-paced corporate environment; young graduates are welcome to be trained.
• Organized, proactive, meticulous, results-oriented, with good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills with Outlook and MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of anti-money laundering rules and Know Your Customer processes
• Strong knowledge of internal tools such as CRM, P2P and STAR
