Engineering Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

As an Engineering Manager you will lead the pharmaceutical manufacturing site’s engineering function, ensuring critical utilities and equipment are reliable and compliant. You will drive capital projects, support business continuity and foster a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead site engineering activities covering utilities, facilities, maintenance and equipment reliability.
• Own capital investment projects from concept through commissioning, managing contractors and vendors.
• Ensure engineering systems meet regulatory, corporate and quality standards and support audits.
• Support business continuity planning, identify technical risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Lead, coach and develop the engineering team, promoting an EHS culture.
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, optimise costs and track performance KPIs.
• Drive reliability engineering, preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives, including digitalisation.

Required profile

• BA/BS with ≥6 years experience, or MBA/MS with ≥5 years, or PhD/JD with ≥1 year, or MD/DVM with any experience.
• Proven supervision or management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong people‑management capabilities and proactive stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with capital projects and change management.
