Graphic Design & Photography/Video Intern

About the role

The United Nations Information Centre in Algiers is looking for a motivated intern to support visual communication. You will work within the Department of Global Communications, creating graphics, photographing events and producing basic video content to help promote UN messages across English, Arabic and French audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in covering UN events, campaigns and activities through photography and basic video recording.
• Select, edit and organize visual content in line with UN communication standards.
• Create infographics, social‑media visuals and simple graphic materials.
• Design layouts for presentations, flyers, briefs and simple reports.
• Support the organization and updating of photo and visual archives.
• Adapt visual content for digital platforms and social media.
• Perform any other communication‑related tasks as required.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or having completed the final year of a bachelor’s degree, or a graduate programme.
• Strong interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to its Charter.
• Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Computer literate with standard software applications.

What we offer

• Unpaid, full‑time internship (35 hours/week) for an initial three months, extendable to six months.
• On‑site experience at UNIC Algiers, working directly with communication professionals.
