Head of Business Banking – Lead Growth across Europe

About the role

We are seeking a strategic leader to own and accelerate the growth of our Business Banking portfolio across the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom. The role will shape how we serve SMEs, social enterprises and high‑impact larger businesses, aligning commercial performance with positive societal impact.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Business Banking growth, setting clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Lead multiple agile product teams – product managers, analysts, engineers and designers – delivering end‑to‑end lending, digital banking and sector‑specific financing solutions.
• Drive digitalisation of business banking journeys, simplifying account management, loan applications and financial planning.
• Own shared P&L responsibility, managing product performance, cost‑to‑serve and profitability while balancing commercial and impact goals.
• Develop and implement lending, credit risk and customer process frameworks for renewable energy, circular economy and social enterprise clients.

Required profile

• Proven strategic leadership experience in business banking or related financial services.
• Track record of leading agile, cross‑functional product teams in a fast‑moving environment.
• Deep understanding of SME, social enterprise and high‑impact corporate financing.
• Ability to balance commercial performance with societal impact objectives.
• Experience managing P&L and budgeting for a portfolio of financial products.
