Mechanical Engineer for Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

CPECC Algeria seeks a Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering support and site supervision for oil and gas construction projects in southern Algeria. The role requires fluent English and a strong background in mechanical design and installation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical design documents, calculations, equipment data sheets and specifications for static and rotating equipment, pressure vessels, tanks and mechanical packages.
• Check vendor drawings and technical documentation for compliance with project specifications and international codes such as ASME and API.
• Support fabrication, erection and installation activities on site, and follow up equipment inspection, pre‑commissioning and commissioning, including hydro‑tests and running tests.
• Respond to technical queries from the site, propose solutions, and coordinate with piping, civil, electrical and instrumentation disciplines as well as subcontractors.
• Apply project HSE rules and quality procedures, and report progress, deviations and technical issues to the Engineering Manager.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Master 2, Ingéniorat, Bac +5) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering for oil and gas construction projects.
• Fluent English (mandatory).
