Medical Physicist (f/m/d) - Proton Therapy

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Medical Physicist to join our Product Management & Validation team and support the development and validation of advanced proton therapy technologies. The role involves acting as a subject‑matter expert for testing, data analysis, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and dosimetric equipment management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain deep knowledge of clinical software and hardware such as ARIA, Eclipse, proton therapy systems and QA tools.
• Perform calibrations on radiation therapy equipment and produce detailed calibration reports.
• Characterise radiation dosimetry of new treatment equipment and techniques.
• Manage treatment‑planning computer systems, including database upkeep and QA programmes.
• Develop, implement and maintain QA programmes in line with regulatory and safety standards.
• Provide technical consulting for new product development, define requirements and devise test methodologies.
• Deliver onsite and remote technical support, with up to 50 % travel as needed.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Physics, Medical Physics or related field with board certification (e.g., American Board of Radiology).
• Completed clinical residency or post‑doctoral training and at least two years of clinical radiation‑therapy physics experience.
• Certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.
• Proven competence in radiation dosimetry theory and practice.
• Familiarity with radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements and product life‑cycle management.
