Medical Science Liaison – Centre et Ouest

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field‑based professional within the affiliate medical department. Reporting to the medical unit, the MSL supports scientific and medical initiatives for both marketed and pipeline products on a non‑promotional basis, while building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals in the Centre and West regions of Algeria.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and maintain a database of Thought Leaders (TL) and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in relevant therapeutic areas.
• Provide balanced scientific exchanges, deliver presentations on disease management and product information, and organize scientific meetings, symposia, and advisory boards.
• Collect and analyse insights from HCPs regarding disease state, unmet needs, local guidelines, and competitive activity, and feed these insights into the company’s strategy.
• Support investigator‑sponsored studies (ISS) and externally sponsored studies (ESS), coordinate real‑world evidence generation, and collaborate with internal cross‑functional teams.
• Report unsolicited medical information requests, adverse events, and product quality complaints in accordance with SOPs.

Required profile

• Medical degree (physician) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably as an MSL.
• Proven track record of building relationships with HCPs and delivering scientific presentations.
• Strong scientific acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and fluency in English and the local language.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, field‑based environment.
