PhD Student – Research Position

About the role

The Centre Universitaire Ziane Achour de Djelfa, a public higher education institution founded in 1990, is looking for a PhD student to carry out full-time, on-site research in Djelfa. The student designs and runs original research projects, works with supervisors and research teams, and contributes to the university's academic reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct original research projects, including literature reviews, data collection and analysis
• Write research articles, progress reports and the doctoral thesis
• Take part in seminars, conferences and departmental meetings
• Contribute to teaching or mentoring when required
• Maintain ethical research standards and follow institutional and regulatory guidelines

Required profile

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline with a strong academic record
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
• Solid organization and time management for long-term projects and deadlines
• Interest in advanced research and willingness to attend seminars, conferences and publish

Required skills

• Strong research skills: literature review, experimental or theoretical analysis, data interpretation
• Excellent academic writing and communication skills
• Proficiency in relevant research tools, methodologies and, where applicable, software or laboratory techniques
