Project Manager - EPC Power Projects

About the role

GE Vernova is looking for a Project Manager in Algiers to run the day-to-day execution of its allocated Scope of Work under a Consortium Agreement. The role covers engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, delivering to schedule, budget, quality and HSE requirements. It reports to the Project Director and exchanges interface information with the other Consortium Company's Project Manager at defined touchpoints, without authority or accountability over them.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project execution across engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, against schedule, budget, quality and contractual requirements.
• Own project planning, cost control, forecasting and schedule performance, and drive recovery actions when risks appear.
• Manage interfaces and dependencies with consortium partners, exchanging technical and schedule information and escalating risks and issues.
• Oversee procurement and supply chain, including supplier performance, expediting, long-lead items and import/customs.
• Coordinate site installation, construction, testing and commissioning with internal teams and partners.
• Drive quality and HSE performance, including QA/QC, nonconformance processes and documentation.
• Report progress, cost, schedule, risks, quality and HSE to the Project Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline; professional engineering qualification is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of project execution experience in EPC, infrastructure, power or energy.
• Fluency in French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
• Preferred: experience in Algeria or comparable North African markets, and PMP or equivalent certification.

• Knowledge of control center software applications.

• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and work with customers, subcontractors and consortium partners.
