About the role
Hikma Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Accountant to support costing and fixed‑asset functions within its Algiers operations. You will work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, care, and teamwork, helping ensure accurate financial reporting for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update standard costs, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Analyze cost variances, provide root‑cause analysis and recommendations.
- Oversee inventory scrapping, work‑in‑process (WIP) tracking, and monthly order closures.
- Monitor inventory valuation, support slow‑moving/obsolete stock analysis, and participate in quarterly and annual inventory counts.
- Maintain the fixed‑asset register in SAP, process additions, transfers, retirements, and disposals.
- Manage Capital Work in Progress (CWIP) and ensure timely capitalization.
- Participate in quarterly and annual physical counts of fixed assets.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in costing and/or fixed‑asset accounting, preferably in manufacturing or pharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of costing principles, inventory accounting, and fixed‑asset accounting.
- Familiarity with IFRS and internal control practices is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency with SAP ERP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with financial reporting tools.
