Senior Desktop Systems Administrator (L2 IT Support)

About the role

A large-scale enterprise is looking for a highly motivated, technically skilled Desktop Systems Administrator to support its enterprise infrastructure. This is an on-site role with no remote work, working core business hours (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM) with occasional after-hours support, within a team of cross-functional IT colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert support for client compute devices (laptops, desktops, peripherals) and accessories.
• Troubleshoot WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN and Active Directory.
• Deploy, configure and support Windows, macOS and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
• Validate GPO RSoP and JAMF configuration profiles on endpoints.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and directory maintenance in Active Directory.
• Support Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Exchange/Outlook and Office applications.
• Configure MDM for Apple iOS and Android devices.
• Support single- and multi-site videoconferencing systems (Cisco experience a plus).
• Manage enterprise printing infrastructure, including scanning-to-email and finishing units.
• Take part in incident response, including system imaging, malware remediation and forensic support.
• Plan and execute user and site relocations and migrations.
• Help enforce endpoint compliance, patch management and device hardening, and improve EUC, automation and service delivery.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in desktop systems administration or service desk administration in a large enterprise.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision; self-motivated and solution-oriented.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Preferred: experience packaging and deploying clients on Windows, macOS and Linux (SCCM, Intune or JAMF), ITAM familiarity, and certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, Apple CSP, JAMF CA or Cisco CCNA Collaboration.
