Storekeeper (Full-time)

About the role

The Storekeeper will manage the receipt, storage and distribution of merchandise for Marriott International’s Trust Complex Buildings in Algiers. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that all supplies are handled safely, accurately and in compliance with food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items for proper placement.
• Stack received goods on pallets or carts and deliver them to the appropriate department.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify supervisors of low stock.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency and quality; reject damaged or incorrect items.
• Store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and maintain organized, clean refrigeration units.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
• Follow all company policies, maintain professional appearance and protect confidential information.
• Communicate clearly with guests and co‑workers and support team goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to work in narrow, elevated or uneven spaces and navigate stairs or ramps.
• Commitment to food‑safety and quality‑assurance standards.
