Accountant – Finance Team (Algiers)

About the role

Welltec® is seeking a motivated Accountant to join its Finance team in Algiers. You will work under the Finance Manager for Africa, handling core accounting functions and supporting the company’s operations across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices and expense reconciliation.
• Process accounts receivable, generate client invoices, reconcile ledgers and resolve billing issues.
• Prepare financial statements and periodic reports on receivable status.
• Support external annual audit activities and maintain accurate month‑end records.
• Administer payroll, handle labour‑related administration and liaise with external employment law advisors.
• Ensure legal compliance by following up on tenders, managing translations, contracts and other administrative tasks.
• Assist senior management with financial analysis and decision‑making support.

Required profile

• Highly motivated individual with a strong interest in finance and accounting.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with colleagues across Africa.
• Willingness to complete a two‑week training period in Angola and adapt to office relocation (Hydra to Zeralda by end‑2026).

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Familiarity with external audit procedures.
• Understanding of payroll administration and basic legal compliance tasks.
