Field Service Supervisor – On Site Services

About the role

We are looking for a Field Service Supervisor to lead on‑site activities for GE high‑voltage assets. The role combines hands‑on installation, commissioning and troubleshooting with supervision of contractors and coordination between GE and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, initial start‑ups and commissioning of high‑voltage equipment such as circuit breakers, disconnect switches, transformers, GIS and instrument transformers.
• Carry out mechanical work in electrical substations and inspect equipment, structures and materials to identify and resolve defects.
• Supervise and give direction to contractors and customer personnel on site.
• Complete all required paperwork, including field service reports, EHS reports, timecards and expense reports.
• Act as the primary interface between GE and the customer during field operations.
• Support GE factory production and other internal departments as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical or mechanical technology or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience installing, commissioning and maintaining high‑voltage equipment, preferably with field exposure.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English.
