About the role
The Group Sales Manager will lead the hotel’s group and transient sales efforts, driving revenue growth and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This full‑time position is based at the Algiers Marriott Hotel and reports to senior hotel management.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively solicit and manage group and transient sales opportunities, coordinating with off‑property sales channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment events, FAM trips, and trade shows.
- Negotiate contracts, prepare proposals, and ensure accurate turnover to Event Management.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and economic forecasts to identify new business opportunities.
- Manage departmental budget, track revenue targets, and achieve personal and team sales goals.
- Deliver service excellence to foster customer loyalty and repeat business.
Required profile
- 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with at least 4 years sales experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years sales experience.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
