Laundry Supervisor

About the role

The Laundry Supervisor will oversee all laundry operations for the Algiers Marriott Hotel, ensuring that uniforms, linens, and terry items are clean, well‑maintained, and available for all departments. This full‑time, onsite position combines inventory management, equipment oversight, and staff leadership to maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct monthly inventory of uniforms, linens, and laundry supplies.
• Report faulty equipment, maintenance needs, and safety hazards to management.
• Train and coach employees on laundry procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Verify completion of laundry requests for each hotel department.
• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machinery.
• Inspect linens and terry for damage and ensure proper handling.
• Assist management with hiring, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related laundry experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb and moving in confined spaces.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
