Accountant – Construction & Civil Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our team in Bethioua, Oran. The role focuses on managing the financial aspects of construction, civil engineering and architecture projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking and compliance with Algerian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations for construction and architectural projects.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets and periodic reports.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors for cost forecasting.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely reconciliation.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Implement accounting controls to protect company assets.
• Assist with payroll and sector‑specific tax filings.
• Train and supervise junior accounting staff when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or a related field (Bachelor’s, Master’s or higher).
• 1 to 10+ years of accounting experience in construction, civil engineering or architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Algerian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
• Good communication skills in English; French or Arabic is a plus.
