ARMO Technician – Assembly Master

About the role

The ARMO Technician – Assembly Master is responsible for executing inspection, repair, assembly and testing of complex rotating equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines and centrifugal compressors. You will work from detailed work instructions, engineering requirements and quality standards to ensure product integrity and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced inspection, repair, assembly and disassembly of gas turbine, centrifugal compressor, steam turbine and valve components.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, repair procedures and technical documentation.
• Execute rotor balancing activities for large rotating equipment (1‑30 tons or higher).
• Operate and coordinate critical lifting activities using overhead cranes and lifting devices in accordance with approved procedures.
• Conduct functional testing, validate results against engineering requirements and document outcomes.
• Maintain accurate digital manufacturing records, inspection reports and repair documentation.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience in repair, assembly and maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Strong knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines and centrifugal compressors.
• Experience with large‑scale rotor balancing and critical lifting operations.
• Ability to work independently, lead complex technical activities and mentor junior technicians.

Required skills

• Interpretation of engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications.
• Precision measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
• Rotor balancing for equipment up to 30 tons.
• Critical lifting and rigging certification.
• Use of digital manufacturing systems and electronic work instruction platforms.
