Associate Scientist, Analytical Research

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Scientist to support analytical research at our Algiers site. The role involves performing physical and chemical analyses, method validation and dissolution studies within a cGMP/GLP environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct physical and chemical analyses as part of research projects.
• Implement and follow laboratory SOPs and maintain documentation.
• Perform analytical method validation in line with regulatory requirements.
• Carry out comparative dissolution studies and sampling during process validations.
• Calibrate and verify analytical instruments and use chromatography software (LabSolutions, Empower, Chromeleon).
• Apply cGMP and GLP standards in all laboratory activities.
• Execute work plans defined by the Supervisor of Analytical Research and collaborate with project teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in chemistry or related scientific field, or Doctor of Pharmacy.
• 1–3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in an analytical laboratory or R&D setting.
• Good knowledge of cGMP and GLP standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with chromatography software such as LabSolutions, Empower and Chromeleon.
• Experience with instrument calibration and verification.
• Knowledge of SAP and general computer skills.
