Associate - Transaction Services

About the role

Interpath Advisory, backed by Bridgepoint Private Equity, is expanding its Transaction Services service line in Algiers and is looking for an Associate. You will support the Transaction Services team in delivering high-quality services to clients such as Private Equity firms and corporates, working closely with Managing Directors, Directors and Senior Associates. You will take part in financial due diligence and advisory projects throughout the deal process, covering both buy-side and sell-side tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Support Transaction Services engagements, including preparing buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence (FDD) reports
• Analyse historical performance to assess clients' financial standing
• Evaluate Quality of Earnings, identifying one-off income and costs
• Support Net Working Capital analyses
• Identify debt-like items through balance sheet reviews
• Assess targets' forecasts and potential financial risks
• Meet with clients and target company management and help execute day-to-day FDD tasks
• Contribute to business development, including market research, proposals and internal initiatives
• Keep up to date with transaction trends and market activity

Required profile

• Graduate degree in accounting, business, finance, economics or a related field
• Internship experience in Audit, Transaction Services, M&A or Private Equity is highly desirable; audit candidates interested in a Deals environment are encouraged to apply
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail and a good understanding of financial statements
• Team player with a proactive approach, able to manage several tasks and priorities in a dynamic setting
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in French and English
