Automotive Design & Development Engineer (DRE / CLA)

About the role

We are looking for an Automotive Design & Development Engineer to join an international vehicle project in Oran. The role involves creating and validating innovative automotive components throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept through to release.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate automotive components from concept to release.
• Propose technical concepts and justify design choices considering vehicle architecture and interface constraints.
• Define and validate technical solutions with engineering teams and prepare consultation files for externally sourced components.
• Drive geometric convergence of components and coordinate interface convergence with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support technical convergence through workshops, design reviews and project meetings.
• Develop robust technical solutions in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams.
• Perform robustness analyses and proximity checks using DMU tools.
• Prepare technical review documentation ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
• Manage Engineering Change Requests (FETE) from initiation to implementation and ensure high‑quality handover to industrialization teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, industrialization, and automotive or industrial product development.
• Proven experience in automotive component development (DRE, CLA or similar roles).
• Strong knowledge of automotive development processes and engineering methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English, both written and spoken.
