Behavioural Analyst - Temporary Position

About the role

The Behavioural Analyst will join an interdisciplinary team within the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board to provide expert support and professional development on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) practices. Reporting to the Manager of Behaviour Analytic Services, the analyst will work directly with teachers, paraprofessionals, parents and guardians to enhance behavioural support for students across multiple school sites.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coach school teams in conducting functional behaviour assessments (FBAs).
• Develop, review and implement behaviour support plans and safe intervention plans.
• Provide direct consultation and training on ABA strategies to staff and families.
• May conduct FBAs independently when required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to design comprehensive intervention programs for students with diverse needs.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in psychology, special education, behaviour analysis or a related field.
• Experience working in K‑12 educational settings, preferably with students requiring behavioural interventions.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to work with teachers, families and support staff.
• Commitment to the board’s values of compassion, dignity, trust and joy.
