Book Seller

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Book Seller to join our retail team in Jijel. In this on‑site position you will help customers discover the right books, maintain an inviting store environment and contribute to the overall sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting titles, providing information on genres and recommendations.
• Arrange, restock and keep shelves organized to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point‑of‑sale system.
• Manage inventory, record stock levels and handle special orders.
• Promote featured titles and support sales campaigns.
• Maintain clean and orderly sales floor and follow store procedures.

Required profile

• Strong interest in books and ability to recommend titles.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and basic numeracy for inventory control.
• Willingness to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks.
• Previous retail or bookselling experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
