Controlling Operations GBU Service Manager – Africa

About the role

The Controlling Operations GBU Service Manager for Africa will join Sanofi's Regional Controlling Operations leadership team. The role is responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end service quality, driving operational collaborations, and ensuring the transition of the Finance Operations organization to its target state across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and monitor local and regional implementation plans, coordinating transformation with peers reporting to the Regional Head of GBU/CF Service Management.
• Enable successful organizational change and ensure E2E quality assurance by monitoring service levels and performance.
• Communicate key performance indicators defined by the Global Performance Lead (GPL) and ensure services meet agreed expectations.
• Gather feedback from local leaders, challenge the status quo, align priorities, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Translate local requirements into operational actions and contribute to major transformation programs such as the Finance Academy.
• Oversee operational excellence in business planning and budgeting processes with broad business impact.
• Identify strategic areas for process optimization and efficiency improvements through customer insights.
• Establish and lead effective partner networks with local finance stakeholders and monitor service delivery excellence.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in finance or controlling operations.
• Strong ability to influence and collaborate with local and regional stakeholders.
• Experience managing change initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to convey KPIs and align priorities.
