DevOps Engineer

About the role

Yassir, the leading super‑app in the Maghreb region, is looking for a senior DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate highly reliable cloud infrastructure that powers its on‑demand services and emerging financial products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable, cost‑effective systems on Google Cloud Platform using Kubernetes.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, increase automation and reduce deployment lead time.
• Respond to incidents, provide on‑call support and assist engineering teams with infrastructure needs.
• Develop infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, CDK for Terraform or Pulumi.
• Automate deployment, scaling and monitoring to minimise downtime.
• Document processes, best practices and tooling to boost team productivity.
• Continuously optimise infrastructure for performance, security and cost.

Required profile

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and a critical thinker.
• Self‑starter comfortable in an entrepreneurial, fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• 8+ years of experience building large‑scale distributed cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Linux administration and scripting (Bash, Python, TypeScript).
• Container technologies: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools: Terraform, CDK for Terraform, Pulumi.
• Cloud platforms: GCP (minimum 1 year), AWS, Azure.
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Node.js or Python development experience.
• Network protocols, security best practices.
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
• Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana (plus ElasticSearch, LogStash, Kibana).
