Electrical Technician – Production Support

About the role

The Electrical Technician provides electro‑technical support to production areas, ensuring that all machines and peripheral equipment operate safely and efficiently. This role is critical to maintaining continuous production flow and achieving quality and quantity targets.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce electrical safety protocols on shift, including locked cabinets, no bypasses, and LOTOTO compliance.
• Deliver electro‑technical services to maximise machine availability throughout the shift.
• Coordinate with shift technicians to support IWS activities, report and resolve breakdowns, and minimise production impact.
• Identify, record, and resolve machine defects, maintaining accurate fault lists.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on production machines and peripheral equipment.
• Supervise equipment inspections and update documentation, software, and drawings.
• Coordinate installation and upgrades of equipment and peripheral systems.
• Train new electronic technicians in fault finding and maintenance.
• Participate in waste‑reduction initiatives and knowledge‑sharing team talks.
• Comply with BAT and EHS procedures, including 5S principles.
