Gardener – Property Grounds Maintenance

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a dedicated Gardener to maintain the appearance and functionality of its property grounds in Algiers. You will be responsible for the upkeep of lawns, flower beds, fountains, and other landscape features, ensuring a pleasant environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the overall appearance of property grounds, including fountains, planters, and other features.
• Install, replace, and care for flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs.
• Water, weed, trim, and perform routine maintenance on flower beds, baskets, and boxes.
• Trim, prune, and edge grass and vegetation in hard‑to‑reach areas.
• Operate and maintain irrigation systems, mowers, edgers, dump trucks, tractors, and other utility vehicles.
• Collect and dispose of exterior trash, clean and refuel equipment after use.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report defects, accidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Perform snow and ice management when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 1 year of related grounds‑maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift and carry objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Physical capability to work on uneven, sloping, or slippery surfaces and use ladders.

Required skills

• Operation of dump trucks, tractors, and other utility vehicles.
• Installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Use of grounds‑maintenance equipment such as mowers and edgers.
• Safety inspection and equipment maintenance procedures.
