GBU Service Manager – Controlling Operations (Africa)

About the role

The GBU Service Manager – Controlling Operations for Africa will join Sanofi's Regional Controlling Operations leadership team. The role is responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end service quality, building operational collaborations, and ensuring the Commercial Controlling Operations function delivers value across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and monitor local and regional implementation plans, coordinating transformation with peers reporting to the Regional Head of GBU/CF Service Management.
• Enable successful organisational change and drive continuous improvement.
• Accountable for end‑to‑end Quality Assurance, monitoring service levels and performance against agreed KPIs.
• Communicate KPI results defined by GPL to stakeholders.
• Understand local leaders’ requirements, gather feedback, challenge the status quo and align priorities while maintaining strong relationships.
• Translate local requirements into operational actions.
• Contribute to major transformation programmes such as the Finance Academy and oversee operational excellence in business planning and budgeting.
• Manage dynamic business requirements, establishing priorities for continuous improvement and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Identify strategic areas for process optimisation through customer insights.
• Establish and lead effective partner networks with local finance stakeholders.
• Monitor operational excellence in service delivery through oversight of service levels.

Required profile

• Proven leadership ability to influence local stakeholders and align strategic views.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
• Experience in finance controlling operations or service management within a multinational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change and manage transformation programmes.
• Analytical mindset focused on quality assurance and KPI monitoring.
