Grid Automation & Software Intern

About the role

This internship offers hands‑on experience in Grid Automation & Software (GA&S) at GE Vernova. You will work on real projects that blend power‑system engineering with intelligent software, contributing to the future of modern energy infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on enhancing existing GA&S solutions and developing new, commercially viable features.
• Apply electrical‑engineering principles, physics and AI/ML techniques to solve industry and customer challenges.
• Participate in pilot projects and initiatives shaping grid technology.
• Support field‑service improvements and project‑management activities.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or another STEM field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Available to work full‑time (40 hrs/week) on‑site during the summer internship.
• Eligible to work in Algeria.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering fundamentals.
• AI/ML techniques applied to power‑system problems.
• Knowledge of IEC grid‑automation standards.
• Understanding of power‑system concepts such as fault detection and grid stability.
