Handyman – Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Handyman to join our team at the Trust Complex Buildings in Algiers. The role involves performing routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Fix minor plumbing problems such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky spigots and faucets.
• Perform miscellaneous repairs including tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Follow all company safety policies, report hazards, accidents, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome guests, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Perform physical tasks: reach overhead, bend, twist, lift up to 50 lb, and assist with items over 100 lb such as A/C units or televisions.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually and perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Basic plumbing repair.
• General handyman tasks such as light‑bulb replacement and wall patching.
• Preventative maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and report hazards.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and assist with heavier items.
